The Christmas Ballet

For those who would crack if they saw one more Nutcracker during the holidays, San Francisco has an enticing alternative. Acclaimed local choreographer Michael Smuin has fashioned 'The Christmas Ballet', featuring dancing elves and Christmas trees. The production is divided into two sections: 'The Classical Christmas' - a choreographed piece set to the music of Mozart, Bach and other masters - and 'The Cool Christmas' a dance to well-known rock tunes by artists like Ray Charles and Elvis.
