Godzilla Exhibition
The nation's favourite city-stomping movie monster turns up at a theme park known for its collection of 1/25 scale models of world architectural masterpieces. A little risky, perhaps, given the giant lizard's appetite for destruction when it comes to big-screen Tokyo landmarks. On the plus side, the main Godzilla attraction here is an indoor exhibition featuring classic props, including a 3-metre-high head. Also planned, however, is a thrice-daily 'performance' (May 3-Jul 5; 10am, 12.30 & 3pm). Could be asking for trouble...

Forest of Stone
The Frederic Marès Museum is known for the vast and eccentric collection of its founder, a man who maniacally collected oddities and treasures from around the world. In this exhibition, the more than 40 stone capitals on view form one of the best groups in the world. The capitals date from the 9th to the 14th-century and include the highly refined stone work of the Arabic world as well as masterly products of the Romanesque and Gothic.
