This free event is the annual launching of the cultural season when hundreds of theatre, cabaret, dance, pop, classical, opera, mime, children's and street theatre acts give a preview of what they will have to offer in the coming year. Hundreds of thousands attend and give the city an especially partyful flavour. And the best thing about it all is every show is free.
